MISSION STATEMENTThe National Black Caucus of State Legislators seeks to develop policies that: encourage African American ownership and land acquisitions in rural regions; promote high quality research and education at the 1890 Land Grant universities, with an emphasis on agriculture, biotechnology, environmental technology and rural economic development; encourage young people to seek careers in the fields of agriculture, biotechnology, environmental technology, and rural economic development; halt abuses of eminent domain; and educates the African American community on the importance of rural communities, agriculture, nutrition, and energy conservation.
